"Fr. John Catoir Social Media
Evangelization Award"  (Est. 2017)
The Fr. John Catoir Social Media Evangelization Award
was officially founded and announced in 2017 by the Catholic
Press Association. Fr. Catoir hoped to promote evangelization
using social media -- "to make Jesus known and loved."

The first awards were presented in 2017 at the Catholic Media
Conference Awards Banquet held in Quebec, Canada, with
subsequent winners receiving recognition at the conference
banquets each year.

The purpose of this award is to recognize the positive
impact of a Social Media campaign to make Jesus known
and loved. The award attempts to recognize the very
"Best Example of Evangelization Using Social Media
Platforms."

The criteria for measuring the success of the campaign is two
tiered. First and most important is the ability to achieve the
desired outcomes shown by the response and reactions of
those receiving the message. Second is the quality of
production and style of writing in delivering the message.

AWARD: The First Place Winner receives a certificate and
cash award of $300 to help underwrite the cost of
technology in developing and or continuing their various
evangelization efforts.
The judging panel is given the option
of also recognizing a Second Place and/or an Honorable
Mention Award for outstanding efforts. Each of these also
receives a certificate.
